There is no added stitches, you crochet even rounds. It's just when you turn with DC, you make first ch2, that is count as first dc, and then one dc in the next stitch, which is second dc and then 43 dc till the end.
So to say easier you work rounds 3-9 without any changes, only make one round with SC and another with DC (number of stitches remain the same)

This is a very cute outfit and i am trying to make it but I'm a bit confused. Working the jacket you have one rnd with 43 dc then the next rnd you have 45 sc, where do you have the added 2 sc added on the rnd? I keep trying and trying and i just don't think I'm getting it right. Please any help would be much appreciated

Thanks for sharing this! I don't make dolls like I used to but if my expected grandchild is a girl, I'll be making them again. :)
